N°1 - the Coastal Taipan : 2 à 3 m de long, de couleur brun clair à brun foncé. Les aborigènes l'appellent le "two steps snake" parce qu'une fois qu'il t'a mordu tu fais deux pas et tu meurs ! Il ressemble assez au Eastern Brown à l'exception qu'il a une tête plus longue avec des sourcils angulaires. Venin : Extrêmement neurotoxique et coagulant !
Ce classement est seulement intéressant théoriquement car en pratique une morsure de n'importe lequel de ces bestiaux peut être fatale. Donc quand tu vois un serpent, tu ne cherches pas à savoir quel est la forme de ces sourcils ou la couleur de sa peau : tu te casses !
